Meet Barry
Inspired by a walking foodie tour of Cape Town, Barry qualified and registered as a tourist guide in 2019. His love for food, wine and the environment fires his excitement to share the wonders South Africa has to offer, with visitors from around the world. While he enjoys leading all tours in the Western Cape, Barry specialises in Wine tours – he completed the Cape Wine Academy Diploma II wine course in 2001, which has provided an excellent informational foundation for his tours. Not only active as a tourist guide, Barry provides updates on local accommodation, restaurants and wine estates for several international tour operators. He also works part time in the film industry, as a producer and post production project manager.

A natural-born host and true bon vivant, Grant brings a rich background in the creative and service industries, with experience spanning film, events, entertainment, marketing, and hospitality. His career has always centred on people, storytelling, and creating memorable experiences. A passionate local and international traveller himself, Grant has a deep love for adventure, exploration, and the performing arts. His broad life experience, insider knowledge, and warm, engaging style allow him to connect effortlessly with guests from around the world. His infectious enthusiasm, and intimate knowledge of the region make him exceptionally well suited to delivering personalised, insightful, and truly memorable tours of Cape Town and beyond.
